The Rodan Family | Holiday Family Photography | Tampa, FL

This wonderful family, the Rodan’s, were such beautiful people that stole my heart the moment I met them. Doing family sessions are a blast for me, especially during the holiday season. It is so fun to see families dressed up altogether, ready to capture some Christmas memories that they can cherish for a lifetime. The Rodan’s and I had a great experience during their annual session, and I am so thrilled to be sharing this sweet session with you all!

Giggling the Day Away

Florida weather can be so unpredictable at times, so we had to keep rescheduling. Finally, we found a beautiful day that would be comfy for the kiddos and pretty for the photos! We decided on doing a session near their home in their neighborhood, which is always a perfect place for family photos, especially if there are children involved. Staying close to home allows clients to relax and feel comfortable for their session. It also makes things way easier sometimes! Parents don’t have to load their kids in the car, so it really is a win win for everyone involved.

I decided to wrangle the kids up and take them outside while their parents, Carrie and Matt, stayed in. This was only for part of the shoot, but the kids seemed to enjoy having some one on one time in front of the camera. Mom and dad came out after a few minutes, and we caught some beautiful images of the six of them altogether. It was adorable seeing them snuggle up to each other. One of my favorite parts of the session was when I looked over and saw one of the girls reach over and grab her sister’s hand. There’s nothing better than a little sibling affection. 

Growing with the Rodan Family

Carrie and Matt have yearly pictures taken of their family, as it allows them to see how their family grows and changes over time. They were also excited to have their photos taken in their own neighborhood. It was so special for them to have memories taken in this location for them and their children to look back on. These two are truly blessed to have such beautiful children! These kiddos have so much personality and are super fun to be around. It's fun to see each of their individual personalities shine throughout the session. They had their hair and makeup done by Jenna Easterling, and wow, did she make them look stunning! Jenna does such a great job of making people feel beautiful, so it eases some of the anxiety going into a session.

All in all, I am so glad to have worked with the Rodan family. They are filled with love and laughter, and I am so honored to have documented these sweet moments for them. I hope the new year brings the Rodan’s many blessings!
