Ah, Laney, what a sweet, sweet girl! Laney was born just a few short weeks ago, and I had that pleasure of being her newborn photographer. This session really stood out to me, especially since I was pregnant at the time myself! Being a pregnant mommy, it can be very emotional to work with newborns. I feel such a deep connection to the families, and want to make the session absolutely perfect for them. Laney was precious, and we were able to capture some adorable photos of one of her very first days of life!

Laney's Lifestyle Session

Whitney and her husband, Brian, decided on an in-home session. They have two other boys who were so stinkin’ cute and silly! This family is truly what you would call “picture perfect.” Newborn sessions can be a bit unpredictable, that’s why I always try my best to let baby be in charge. Little Laney did not want to sleep the entire time, but it did not affect the session in any way. Laney wanted to have her eyes open for the session, so that’s what we did! Nonetheless, she is an adorable baby girl, and looked beautiful in every photo. She slept for a little bit at the beginning of the session, so we were still able to capture some moments of her snuggled up in a floral swaddle, sleeping soundly.

The Best Big Brothers

Laney’s big brothers, Gavin and Mason, were full of high energy, and seemed to have a really fun time! As soon as we put their baby sister in their hands, they both lit up and smiled the biggest of smiles. They were great with Laney, and gave her plenty of kisses and hugs. These two are going to be such great big brothers to their little sister!

My day spent with this family was a great time filled with love and laughter. To top it all off, I went into labor the night of this session, so it was an eventful day for all of us! I love this family, and wish them the very best with their sweet little addition.
