We love how different each wedding is we have the pleasure to photograph. Some are small and intimate, some are big and extravagant, and most fall somewhere in between. My favorite part is getting to know the couple and their dynamic, along with all the guests that share in their joy that day. Sometimes you get a group of people that are SO MUCH FUN, and you just know those memories will live on in stories for years to come.

Dani and Corey's Downtown Wedding at The Vault

Dani and Corey were recently married at The Vault in downtown Tampa. It was a beautiful venue and perfectly suited for their big Italian wedding. Believe it or not, it actually wasn’t their first choice. After much debate and back and forth, they backed out of the venue they originally booked and when they looked at The Vault, the only date open was the one they had planned for their ceremony. It was fate! A lot of things in their relationship have had the same sort of fate come into play. Dani and Corey actually met through their good friends, who stood in as Matron of Honor and Best Man. Dani asked her friend Jaime if her husband had any single friends while watching the TV show The Bachelor one night. She connected Dani with her husband’s best friend Corey and the rest is history! The only problem was, at the time, Corey was living in Charlotte, NC.

Always Together, Never Apart. Maybe in Distance, but Never in Heart.

It wasn’t long before they started a relationship long distance, and then Corey eventually made the big move down to Tampa and proposed to Dani shortly thereafter. Kimberly Hensley Events helped pull of the perfect event, with lots of inspiration from Dani’s Pinterest boards. We loved that Dani and Corey both worked out prior to getting ready for the wedding to ease some nerves, and Dani even brought her 5 pound weights with her. It totally paid off in the end, as she schooled everyone on the dance floor- including winning a dance off against one of the groomsmen, complete with moonwalk and push-ups. We cannot put into words just how fun this couple was, and in turn what an amazingly fun wedding they had! Their first look was stunning, the venue was breathtaking, and the day as a whole was just absolutely perfect. When asked what advice he would give couples planning their wedding, groom Corey joked “learn how to dance... Oops!” Good thing Dani has that part down for the both of them.
