Kyndel and Grant | An Exciting Downtown Engagement Session

There is no one way to do an engagement session. I’ve seen a little bit of everything, and I love trying new ideas with couples. The main goal of every engagement session is to capture the true personality of the couple.

Kyndel and Grant are electric together. Some engaged couples understandably feel a little awkward at first during their very first professional shoot together, but not these two! They have such a vibrant personality with just a hint of edginess. Their fashion style is always on point, and they turn heads together. It’s impossible to not feel drawn to them. As soon as they are looking at one another they are laughing, smiling, sharing their thoughts, it is really special to see, and I couldn’t wait to capture that for them.

Kyndel wanted a fun and colorful session that portrayed their feel of their relationship. We think they nailed it! Moody is one of our favorite looks but these two put a fun spin on it with all their smiles. She wore a gorgeous cobalt lace jumpsuit that looked stunning with her dark hair and red lips – a look I’d love to be able to pull off! And he wore a fun complementary violet, blue and magenta button-down shirt. I don’t think I would have ever thought of this color combo, but it has officially become one of my favorites! So bold and fun.

We chose locations with an urban feel – perfect for these two. We incorporated a little bit of everything from greenery and park paths to concrete bridges and abstract murals. They looked great and had fun in every setting. After getting to know them during this lovely session, we can't wait for their wedding this December!

Congrats on your engagement, Kyndel and Grant!
