Kyndel and Grant | An Afternoon Lakeside Proposal | Tampa, Florida

True surprise proposals are the best, and it’s not too often that I get to capture genuinely candid ones. This was one of those, and it was fantastic! 

I love watching from the sidelines when the couple is completely oblivious to my presence. It really allows me to capture the real emotions and pure excitement of the moment without any staging. I have a feeling you’ll enjoy this one as much as I did. Watch the proposal unfold below!

Kyndel and Grant were planning on heading over to the lake for dinner that night, but what Kyndel didn't know was that Grant had an elaborate set up on the dock waiting for her when they got there. As soon as she walked out the back door and saw the dock, she grabbed his hand and they both ran down there together. Her enthusiasm and immediate reaction were priceless! 

Against the backdrop of a lazy afternoon sun, Grant had placed sweet pictures of the two of them framed by a huge bouquet of red roses. The setup looked amazing—like something from a movie. At that point, Kyndel clearly knew what was going on, so she came in close as Grant dropped down to one knee and officially asked Kyndel to marry him. Of course, she responded with an emphatic YES! I captured a few more of the sweet moments that followed the proposal, then the two walked back up to join their audience.

With friends and family waiting nearby to congratulate the two, it was a perfect afternoon! They had all planned a fun celebration immediately afterward. She changed into a cute dress, and I got a few more couple’s shots. I was blown away by all of the sweet details in the proposal. For the finale, they lit sparklers and enjoyed the sunset together. Congratulations, Kyndel and Grant!
