The Hall Family | Welcome Baby Grant | Tampa Newborn Photographer

Just look at this little wide-eyed cutie! I rarely do a newborn session – especially in the cozy comfort of their own home – where baby is able to stay awake and alert throughout most of the session! But after baby Grant made his grand debut into the world, he was ready to explore! (In fact, they later told me that before I came in, they were laughing about his cute, springy little frog legs and how they needed to hold them in for the photos – but I think they made the photos even more adorable!)

He is the newest sidekick to big sister Emery, and I think the dynamic duo will be giving their parents a run for their money in no time. During the shoot, Emery as so sweet to her baby brother. Even though she’s not all that much older, she was absolutely enamored with him and quick to take care of him as most big sisters are. I love the pictures of their parents reading to them on the bed. These are those real-life moments we as parents will cherish forever – and I bet Emery and Grant will love them just as much when they’re older.

When Chloe and Ian first reached out to me about scheduling Grant’s newborn session, I couldn’t wait! I’ve worked with this sweet family before, and I always love catching up with them. I couldn’t be more excited about baby Grant’s arrival! They told me that he had a night sky-themed nursery, but I was not expecting such a masterpiece – that they did themselves, I might add! Detailed constellations covered one wall, and a planet mobile hung above his crib. Honestly, I’d love to decorate my own room like that. Amazing! And what a fun backdrop for these photos!

Catching the Magic of the Moment

With little ones, you never know what is going to happen. In their follow-up questionnaire, Chloe admitted, “One of my favorite photos that Taylor captured is of emery hugging my leg. What you don’t know is that Emy was actually being a little defiant in that moment, and seconds after the photo was taken she ran out of the room yelling. I love that Taylor handles my chaos with ease and in the midst of it grabbed one of my favorite photos.”

Catching those sweet moments and precious smiles is what I live for. Congratulations on your new addition, Hall Family! As always, much love to all of you.
