Kelsea and Tyler | A Garden Wedding in Downtown Tampa, Florida
I LOVE first looks. Every time I capture one, I go through the emotions all over again: the excitement as the bride walks up, the anticipation right before the groom turns around, the glee when their eyes meet for the first time on their wedding day, and the awe he expresses as he takes in his gorgeous bride. This one had it all. Kelsea and Tyler had me reaching for Kleenex and grinning from ear to ear as I watched them take in that first moment marking the beginning of their wedding day celebration. It was so beautiful.
But rather than describing things from my perspective, I send out a questionnaire to all my couples, and I just love what these two had to say:
Me: Tell me about your wedding day.
Tyler: Everything for me was very surreal. I didn't know what to feel or how to feel it. When we got in the car to go to the venue, I started feeling nervous and anxious with the expectations of seeing Kelsea… After I had received her wedding gift, I was beyond ready to see her, but I felt nervous and began feeling the weight of, "I'm about to see my bride!"
Me: How did you pick your wedding venue?
Kelsea: The venue chose us. Kidding. We had looked at a few places and weren't in love. When we walked onto the Davis Islands Garden Club property, Tyler looked at me and said, “Babe, this is so you!" We totally fell in love with it!
Me: What next on your calendar as a couple?
Kelsea: Now that my semester is over, we're planning a trip to Washington D.C. to be tourists for a few days. Tyler loves history and I love a good conspiracy theory, so we figured it's the perfect place! I graduate from my master's program in May and plan continue my journey in becoming a mental health counselor. Tyler and I both feel like God has put it on our hearts to take on more speaking opportunities, so we're letting God lead us both in what that is supposed to look like. Our plan is to take a couple of years learning and loving one another and traveling the world together, and eventually plan to have some little minis. ;)
Me: Tell me a little about your story.
Kelsea: Before him, I thought I was living my best life. I had learned how to love myself and love others. [After meeting him,] he became my best life. God brought him into my life at the very moment I needed someone to love people with and eat lots of ice cream with. It’s been the most incredible adventure and I’m excited for all that is yet to come.
